Here is an article I came upon. It comes from World Snowboarding Guide. Although most of it is general speaking about Eastern Europe and not really updated lately, it could give another point of view :)
Snowboarding in Bulgaria at World Snowboarding Guide
I don't agree with most of it but I like other views :) Still here are some words that might be true:
"Freeriders will enjoy the unpredictable and uneven terrain features found in most rideable places but freestylers will be left a little disappointed if big pipes and man made terrain parks are your thing. Such things are almost none existent however lots of natural freestyle terrain is available along with some very big cliff jump areas. Overall, resort's services are very basic with low key primitive accommodation, restaurants and amenities."
If you have read the article you could get an impression we are in some kind of war, never seen "Westerns" and very friendly if "you flash a few dollars". Well, I can't say that's the most stupid thing I have heard just because I have heard a lot of stupid things :)
My information is that Bulgaria has not been in war since WW2, we do not have any neighbouring countries in war. On the other hand terror is not an issue here either
I guess I should look for something more decent... I could even write those guys and tell the facts :) |
